Ian Luhrs is an Accounting Services Senior with Blair, Bohlé & Whitsitt, helping small business owners and families take control of their financial records and maximize tax savings. Ian advises clients seeking to refine their accounting procedures for financial transactions, monthly reconciliations, and accounting software integration. He provides quarterly analysis of general ledger accounts and helps uncover additional tax deductible expenses and other areas of cost savings. To maximize tax efficiency and take advantage of these savings, Ian works closely with Partners and Tax Managers to provide clients with annual projected tax liabilities, planning strategies and return preparation.
Ian joined Blair, Bohlé & Whitsitt in 2008 after working in a local accounting firm serving small business clients throughout the Greater Charlotte area. He received his Certified Public Accountant license in 2014 and is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the NC Association of CPAs (NCACPA). Ian graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance and continues to participate in continuing education courses related to tax deductions for small businesses, accounting standards, and financial best practices. He is originally from the North Fork of Long Island, NY and enjoys traveling and playing the saxophone.
